The Callisto Protocol: Game Opinions
You know… it’s not too often that I encounter a game that I’ve got a lot of negative feedback on. I’m not sure if it’s because I always try to see the bright side of things – something I’m sure may come as a surprise to many, given my general outward disposition – or if it’s just a spatial awareness for the feelings of others. But I also don’t ever want to shy away from being honest, which is why I have to lay it all out on the table for something like The Callisto Protocol. I think that perhaps I may have let some of the public hype for the game color my initial judgement of it, but I also think their blatant marketing that steers in a clear direction of “From the makers of Dead Space” definitely took hold in my brain. So when The Callisto Protocol turned out to be a much lesser version of Dead Space – the same formula, but without the magic, the story, the horror, and really… the fun – I definitely felt let down. Needless to say, I was pretty underwhelmed by the game.
Check out the video below for my full thoughts.
Also, forgive my mistakes in the video: I didn’t mean to call Dead Space the spiritual successor to The Callisto Protocol. The other way around! This is what I get for recording videos in the wee hours of the night!!
